Ah, okay. I'm such a stickler for language that I want specifics. Thanks for providing~
Reading through this, I find it fascinating how close our similarly we think, or how close our political opinions lie.
As part of the human species, we who have overcome and created so much, I, too, agree that everyone should be equally comfortable. The problem with money is that some people know how to use it and some simply don't.
I'm afraid I'm not very good at finance myself; however, that's a relatively easy problem to handle if, if, we were in the position in which everyone had the same amount of cash. For instance, allotments for housing based on the number of people in the family, same for food, clothing, miscellaneous expenses and so forth.
See, I don't agree that cash = ambition. If I did, I wouldn't be writing, reading and researching every day. I do what I do because I want to write. For instance, few people on disability want to sit around and do nothing. The very nature of being alive drives (most of) us to be productive, so obviously, that sort of thinking is flawed.
LOL! Yes, who can kidnap the most Africans and force THEM to work for free? That's the American way! Ever seen "A Short History of America" from Michael Moore's Farenheit 9/11? Or have I already asked? (I forget) >_>
I'm cynical enough to speculate that some of that separatism isn't so much believed by the Politicians who espouse it, rather than their using it for the benefit of bringing in voters.
Oh, they actually use positive reinforcement within the punitive system? *laughs* I should probably get out a little more.
It's nice to have a friend who studies this stuff. I just sorta... have my opinions.
